.I-IDEAL Betta
Betta ideal to have perfect health by showing no signs of disease and agile swimmers. Body and fins without disabilities. Body no scars, spots or loss / distortion scales. Be straight or curved rays are. Fins to direct policy and brought to its full puff. Constant movement and the backlash against any other individual. Betta have almost ideal symmetry between the top and bottom through the middle. Bettas are so disproportionate ratio between the body and fins. Body tapering toward the base of the tail. The dorsal fin is nearly identical to the anal fin size, shape and width. Tail to 180 degree spread. Outline of dorsal, caudal and anal fins to form a circle without interruption between the fins. Fins have broad and overlapping slightly at the edges. Branched rays and tertiary level II, as well as long-distance to the beam uniformity.

Betta ideal to have bright colors and uniformly distributed. In the monochrome category, not fins lem and not have strange spots or dots on the body. The pattern must be of dark and light to create high contrast. Colors of Betta generally be eye-catching and fresh.

II-GENERAL STANDARDS
These are general standards applicable to all genres betta. General criteria for the assessment guidelines based on body condition and the external characteristics of the betta fish.

Areas of assessment
Evaluate areas of common standards including size, condition, performance and fins.

Standard
Each area has its evaluation component called evaluation criteria.

III-DIMENSION
BODY SIZE
Males must be at least 3.8 cm long. Females must be at least 3.2 cm long. Betta splendens not reach this size will be disqualified (for the wild betta fish, please see individual standards for wild and PK). Size is the last factor to be considered when assessing the most beautiful fish in each category. If all the elements are the same (same number of errors is less), the larger fish will win.

FIN SIZE
Fin dimensions below are applicable to the category male Betta splendens. Although the description is based on fin length, the individual assessment and observation should remember that the focus of the assessment should be based on the fin width and the size of them.

The dorsal
Must be at least half the body length, measured from the base to the tip of the central rays

End
Must be at least half the body length, measured from the base of the tail to the middle of the caudal border - NOT the tip of the longest rays.

Anal
Ventral fins
Must be nearly equal to the length of the anal fin.

Pectoral fins
Pectoral fins very difficult to assess, because they are almost transparent. However, in general, large pectoral fins are preferred.

LEVEL IV-symmetric
Bettas have the ideal balance between the rate of the body and fin shape seamlessly. Body to be nearly symmetrical between the top and bottom through the middle, except for the front of the anal fin which contains the internal organs. Overall shape of the three unpaired fins as close to circular as possible to outline unbroken and seamless. In double-tailed fish, the desired evaluation, in principle, the degree of symmetry than the single bettas. The unpaired fins should be symmetric between the lines. This requirement is needed because the dorsal fin is more than double the width, size and shape similar to the anal fin.

V-RATE
It is important to fins and body at the same rate. If the fins are large and have big bodies. An unpaired fins too big (or small) will negatively affect the level of symmetry and overall beauty of the fish.

VI-SHAPE
Body to plump and slightly to the abdomen. First gradually tapering toward the tail with the tail thinner. The rate and base of the tail thickness of 3 to 4 times. Overall appearance is very important Betta fish. Body and its surface strongly influence the overall shape of the betta fish. Body must be in harmony with the fins and not overwhelm it.

For example stout bodied fish with tiny fins that serious errors. But double tail betta fish can have a shorter body - from head to tail - from single bettas. Thicker Than accepted as long as they contribute to the support of the larger fin fish DT (does not apply to these variations, plakat fish and wild fish).

FIN

Single fin
Numerous acceptable shape - semicircular, corners, rectangles - as long as the width and size are acceptable. A triangle is not reached. Similar to the other fin, width and size are important, the bigger the better fins. Ideally, dorsal to the tail stacked in harmony but not tied to it. The first rays (near the top) to a length equal to the other beam and not "puppy".

DT Fish
Dual base of the dorsal fin is relatively larger than the single fin. Ideally, double dorsal fin is the mirror image of the anal fin to maintain symmetry.

End
In single bettas, the ideal shape is semicircular 180 degree spread. Based on the selection of breeders, branched rays, take care of conditions, status and degree of spread of the fins, which are very difficult to breed characteristics and maintain. Therefore, a number of genres sometimes no qualified individual tails. In the same category, if everything is equal, individuals with the most symmetrical tails and spread to most individuals have at least errors will have more opportunities to win first prize. Caudal spread over 180 degrees are not prioritized or underestimate true than 180 degree spread.

All genres, including double tail fish, rays must be evenly distributed between the upper and lower part. Size proportional to the degree dai.Luu: with double tail fish - the size and distribution of the upper and lower right are equivalent. The two tail lobes can be stacked but separated until peduncle. Ideal shape of the tail lobes is semicircular.

Anal
So sharp. Ideal shape is isosceles trapezoid with short fin edges, connected to the body. In other words, the bigger the rim fin fin. Next to the front and rear should not converge to a point forming a triangle. So wide spread. Ideally, the anal slightly overlapping with the tail but not sticky. Anal triangle is an error because the long form (from 1.5 to 2 times the width). Anal should not exceed the lowest point of the tail.

Ventral fins
Shaped like the blade with the blade towards the rear. To slightly convex front edge. Spiers. The fins are not and should not be crossed. We have to match each other perfectly. Ventrals not be too long, too short or thin. The ventral fins are short in females than themselves.

Pectoral fins
Pectoral fins are the most important for swimming, maintaining the balance of water and fish in the fish moving around. Pectoral fins so big and wide.

Overall shape
Overall shape of the male Betta splendens (single or double tail-tail) is a circle with no gaps between the unpaired fins.

DT
DT Betta fish tails differ in many application features:
1 - There are two tail lobes instead of one, and completely separated until the base of the tail.
2 - There are large peduncle, to lift the tail lobes.
3 - There are larger dorsal fin, roughly the size of the anal
4 - Body often "puppy" and slightly shorter.
5 - caudal peduncle usually bent at multiple angles. This is a clearly recognizable when viewed from above. If bent too much faulty, if not only slightly curved penalized.

Females
All the female category have the same shape as the males of the same type, but shorter fins and body fatter. IBC encourages the maintenance of females and males form separate. Bettas other than male ones in many ways and always looks so "girly".
1 - Females are generally smaller size. They often stretch the abdomen rounded than males.
2 - Females usually not as big as the males fins.
3 - Females usually speckled white eggs in the abdomen. The fins so loud but not as big as the males.
4 - Females are less aggressive behavior.

VII-TO STATUS
Wellbeing
"White card" is the physical condition and the level of betta "scratches" of body / fins that they contribute to the overall shape of the fish.

Individuals must have a full surface with fins and scales on body heal. Aging may cause some degradation of the body such as the serial number or rays are bent.

Dear
The key is to perfect shape. ANY physical imperfections such as missing scales or any other defects are faulty.

Fin
There are even two types of fins - pectoral fins and belly - and three unpaired fins - dorsal, caudal and anal fins - with the standards applicable to all types of fins. Rays should be straight or slightly bent until branching and parallel development or spread out a seamless way when we go away from the original. The rays can fin sticking out - called papillae or buds rays. Once the fish have papillary rays, all rays must have fins and they should sprout evenly. Have extensive webbing, strong and intact. Liner fins to smooth and seamless unless papillary rays. The enclosure must be able to spread all the way to the fin rays and all and tension. The worm holes or edges that are not surrounded by torn and damaged previously and the "mount enclosure" can show the status of fish, showing care regimen or stress. There are varying degrees from mild to errors eliminated.

Papillary rays / fin comb should not be considered bad condition. Fish tail tassel (fringe) also known as tail comb (combtail). Intense Body papillary rays with less webbing than normal called crowntails (crowntail) and with specific criteria.

VIII-SHOWS
Ability to Perform well, usually khi flaring is an Important feature in Betta splendens Because not only is health, other features Allows It also seemed a maximum như color. Although only a small feature, the poor performance will bring negative results compared with other rivals contest. Performing poorly will create the impression "healthy fish" or panic. Obviously, the Individuals must be Assessed holistically in terms of performance. Each part of the body như rays / relatives have played a role in it.

Note: Evaluated the performance wild betta in a Different Way - see description. The Different species of Betta splendens, especially fishing hamlet mouth, usually very shy and rarely khi bottle flaring. However, regardless of all fish species have superficial cleverness with straight fins policy.
